hello!!
we went to the..battle fields tour..
changi museum..
and kranji war memorial park..
haha..i went to changi museum and kranji war memorial park before..
so i roughly knew my way around..
and going back there the second time is really another experience..

it was awesome..
but very very saddening..
i like sobbed twice..
once at the museum and at the kranji war memorial park..
at the museum because of the story the guide..Mr Razeen Chan..told us..
this guy who was a prisoner of war carved a cross from a empty bombshell that they found..
it was made of bronze..
so yeahh..
when they opened the museum in 2001..
they invited his son to carry that cross and place it at the altar of the museum..
they noticed that he was crying uncontrollably..
at the end of the ceremony..
they asked why he cried so badly..
and he said..
"This is the first time I carried comething my father made."

okayy more background on what happened..
well..his father left him at the age of 5..
he had two other sisters..
one sister was sent to one side of their grandparents..
the other sister was sent with him to the other side of grandparents..
so he never knew how his sister was, how she looked like etc..
that's so sad..

yeahh so we were supposed to take a photo with something and write a report about it..
therefore i brought my camera..
and guess what..
we couldn't take pictures like anywhere!!
except for the museum but there was no time..

ohh and the second time i cried was at the kranji war memorial park when i looked across and saw sooooooooooooo many tombstones representing the dead bodies found..
400 something i think..
and what worst??
24 000 were not found..
ohh my gosh..
that's like super sad!!

we had this ceremony where by we place this circle of red poppy flowers thing in respect of those brave men and women..
red poppies were growing at the no man's ground soon after the soldiers died..
so this other soldier with a poetic heart started to write a poem..
the red represented the blood shedding and going into the ground..
the flowers blooming represented the soldiers..

&/their name shall liveth forevermore...

yeahh..so..we went back to school after that..

on the bus i sat with gwen..
here you see me sitting with her..yeap..
